Tonight's show was a real cliff hanger. It's driving me nuts.

It's one show I planned to watch but missed most of the first season when my pvr kept cutting out, so just didn't get into the new season. Hope your cliff hanger works out the way you'd like.

I started watching Mr. Selfridge because I was lost without Downton but this show has thoroughly grabbed me in its own right. I have the DVD set for the first season and will get the second when it is on the shelves here. Like Downton, its setting is in a well respected entity with a wide scoped cast and multiple soap plots within evolving historical perspectives. The glamor, costumes and settings, while different from Downton are a pleasure. There were several cliff hangers in this week's show, not just one. I am seriously asking myself if I want to go searching for spoilers. With Downton, I accidentally learned that 2 people were going to die in the upcoming season. It happened unexpectedly in a CNN article. I had to know who they were and went pounding on Amanda's door about it. (Thank you Amanda.) But then I had to keep my mouth shut. Anyhow, Mr. Selfridge has my attention lock, stock and barrel.

I remember this show being brought up here before in some context, but I have not watched. I have a long list of shows that have been recommended to me, but am not watching anything at present (other than my couple of shows which are not currently airing). I have been re-watching One Tree Hill for about the hundredth time, so I just pop in a disc of that if I have a little time at home.
