EvilStewie posted this on our original ATWT/TSY:
DIGGING THE KNIFE IN DEEPER: P&G to Pull Classic AW, ATWT and GL Content From You Tube AND Hulu!
Well, this is like a punch in the gut at a funeral. We Love Soaps is reporting classic Another World, As the World Turns and Guiding Light content will no longer be available on YouTube after October 21. They will also be removing their content from Hulu. Enjoy clips of your favorite Bay City, Oakdale and Springfield families, couples, villains and heroes while you can.

Who owns ATWT and GL? Who has the rights or the copyrights to the tapes? My thought has been that CBS owns the show and that the money from P&G, the sponsor was used for the production costs.
I'm not familiar with the U Tube sites, who owns them or the expense, if any, of maintaining them. If there is no expense, why would it matter to P&G if the clips remain there?
This is brutal.

I think P&G owns them. I don't see any reason for them to pull the clips, unless they intend to turn it around for profit by releasing "Best Of" DVDs or something. Even so, it does come as kind of a slap in the face to fans.

P&G owns all 3 shows, so they can basically do as they please with them. As I have been saying for years now, I believe those supposed insiders who claimed P&G wanted completely out of the soap opera business....this is only further proof. Thank goodness for You Tube!

RATS!
Thanks Joel. It wasn't what I wanted to hear but at least we have the truth.
