My oven quit. Wendy has a turkey roaster. I have the turkey. Things are going to be a little nutty until we figure out how to make it work.

It will all work out! I remember cooking a turkey on a gas barbecue one year when we had no power, and another year, in a friend's oven who fortunately had power, and had their Turkey dinner on Boxing Day.
Wishing you a lovely dinner with your family. This will become one of those memorable Christmas stories!

I laughed when I read this because every sitcom that has ever aired near Thanksgiving has a storyline where something goes awry with the turkey. Leave it to Ruff to have a situational-comedy-holiday.

Amanda...If you think Christmas Eve was a riot, you want to watch my daughter carve .. no .. dismember a 22 pound turkey! It is - um - impressive - !! She learned it from Rachael Ray. However, when that turkey platter is passing around the table, the pieces that you get are FABULOUS!
