Pears?

Have you ever made a pear sauce? Last night I had a very ripe pear on hand. It's texture wasn't that great however. So I heated it on the stove with a bit of water. Then I had pear sauce which was very very nice. It was sweet and completely juicy on its own. I had to drain off the water. It was the same fresh pear flavor. I couldn't think of anything that might enhance or improve it. It was delicious all on its own. ............. I make my apple sauce with red cinnamon candies. You couldn't pay me to eat store bought apple sauce. Plus I like it chunky. The pear sauce was chunky too.
Often, I use my applesauce in place of cranberry as a garnish with tuna or chicken dishes. It works well.
