Ruff, I guess you missed the news story that there are alligators in BOSTON!!! (people let their exotic pets go :-( )

Yes but doesn't the winter freeze clobber them or send them running/swimming?

Yeah, poor things. The Charles River is not exactly the right environment for an alligator. (what IS it the right environment for? LOL!)

I am sure we do have alligators, but I am not sure where they might hide out around my neck of the woods. I've never seen one here, anyway!

seeing them from a distance is fine...seeing them up close, on your doorstep, in your driveway or in your pool is another thing...

It creeped me out enough seeing them swimming 20 feet below where I as walking over a bridge at Greenfield Lake in Wilmington. I surely don't want to see one in my yard.

Years ago, my neighbor had one on her front porch, leaning against her door. She went to mail a letter and found the door jammed shut so went out the side door and around only to find the big ol' boy on her front stoop. Lots of excitement as the animal control guys came out to remove him
