I had the same problem with Mary's suitors. I had to go back and rewatch stuff with them in it to try to figure out who was who, and I STILL couldn't get it straight. But perhaps I was distracted by wondering why any man, much less any two men, would waste their time with her.
Branson remains my favorite. KK, it makes me laugh that you list Isis with your favorite "characters." I feel like we never even see her except for that time Thomas helped her get "lost" so he could "find" her.

No, Dear Sweet Isis was the best thing about this season. She was on more than either of the babies who are apparently being raised by wolves (who would actually be better parents than any of the Downton crew). She had a long scene seated with Robert and the family and Branson drove her down to London. It perhaps says something about this season that I was watching the dog, but she was a shining star, IMHO.

Haha! My favorite TV dog was always Murray from Mad About You. Not sure if you watched that, but you'd love Murray!

Charlie and I LOVED that show! I'm surprised you know it, but that's the magic of syndication.

Murray was a great dog, and I loved that show too! Right now, I like Jim on Mike and Molly.

I remain loyal to Isis. I watch the opening credit for her cute little happy walk. If I miss it, I rewind. Not kidding, I LOVE that dog!

Oh, KK, I'm not THAT young! I watched Mad About You when it was on the air. I think I was a pre-teen or so when it began. It's always been my favorite sitcom, followed by Frasier. I have all of the seasons of Mad About You that were released on DVD -- it's ridiculous that they were never ALL released, but I have alerts set on Amazon if ever they come available.
I used to have a 5-disc DVD changer in my apartment when I first moved in, and most of the time, it contained the first two seasons of Mad About You (which was all that was out at that time), and I'd just settle onto my couch in the evening and pick an episode. I can probably quote most of it. I still count things off sometimes as "A... and 2" and say things like "not so much." In fact, when I was in college working on my thesis, I was diagramming sentences with a Greek-major grad student, and he said something using that "A... and 2" and I had to pause and say, "Mad About You?" We traded quotes for a good ten minutes.
HUGE crush on Paul Reiser, right here.

Hahahaha, yep, because I always remember that he's married to a woman named Paula. I guess there are exceptions to every rule!
